THE HERO/HEROINE'S JOURNEY
Biocentric Theatre is a method that combines theatrical expression with the principles of Biodance: at the centre is life, the person and his creative capacity. 
Through movement, play and scenic improvisation, the workshop becomes a protected space where emotions, gestures and inner images can be explored in an atmosphere of authenticity and hospitality. 
In this year's edition the theme chosen is THE HERO'S / HEROINE'S JOURNEY, WITH A PSYCHOLOGICAL BACKGROUND WE WILL DANCE THE 12 ARCHETYPES THAT FORM THE PATH OF SELF-KNOWLEDGE AND EVOLUTIONARY GROWTH OF THE HERO'S INITIATORY JOURNEY: DANCING AND CREATING TOGETHER, WE WILL TRANSFORM THE ARCHETYPES INTO A LIVING EXPERIENCE, UNTIL WE COMPOSE (THOSE WHO WISH) A COLLECTIVE PERFORMANCE. 
It will be a ritual of sharing and celebrating the "treasure of our true Self", which we will bring to the stage as a unique and unrepeatable expression of each one. 

Through the Biodanza method, based on vivencia, the bodily, affective and direct involvement with the symbol that reactivates the power of the archetypes in us is more spontaneous. 
It is therefore not a matter of playing any character in an external way to oneself, but instead of meeting one's character, born from one's emotions, desires and narratives. 
It is a way of doing theatre "outside the theatre", that is, with people who do not aim  to be actors, but who find in the theatre the opportunity to give voice to their soul, their essence, their experiences, in a creative and above all fun way.
This workshop is open to everyone: it does not require theater or dance skills, but only the desire to explore oneself and participate in a creative and transformative journey.

Sandra Salmaso

Teacher of Biodanza since '93, specialized in Biodanza and Social and Biocentric Theater, she studied at Dams Spettacolo in Bologna, trained at the Odin Theater in Denmark, she was an actress of Body Theater and Dance Theater for 10 years creating numerous performances.

THE HERO'S JOURNEY and the HEROINE

There will be a time to prepare to leave, one to travel and meet the new and the return with many things to tell and bring into everyday life.
The path is based on 12 archetypes (figures or myths) common to many cultures and philosophies studied by John Campbell and Carol Pearson. 
In Biodanza the dances of these archetypes allow us to "incorporate" the gifts and qualities that each of them brings. 
Each archetype represents an aspect and a phase of our existence. 
The Hero / Heroine are those who live authentically in the world, who know how to react and change, who know how to love and fight, who respect their values and live in society. 
It is a spiral journey upwards that everyone makes and will make many times in their lives. 

THE HERO'S JOURNEY represents a process of inner evolution, called by G.C. Jung "process of individuation".

Dancing we awaken the Hero in us to "FIND THE TREASURE OF OUR TRUE SELF".
